Share Your Food at the Fair
Regional food, shared tables and community connection.
Bushy Creek Makers’ Fair welcomes a small number of regional food stalls to complement the event. Our aim is to offer a variety of good food and drink that reflects the creativity and produce of our region.
What We’re Looking For
We aim to curate a balanced mix of food and drink offerings.
We welcome stalls offering:
• Freshly prepared food
• Regional produce and seasonal menus
• Coffee, tea and cold drinks
• Sweet treats and baked goods
• Vegetarian and family-friendly options
Food stalls may include food trucks, trailers or temporary setups.
We aim to coordinate stall types and trading times so food stalls complement the makers and producers attending the Fair.
Event Ethos
Bushy Creek Makers’ Fair is a community-led event celebrating regional creativity, music and connection.
Food stalls help create a welcoming space where people can gather, share meals and enjoy the day together.
Food vendors will generally be located in a shared food area with seating nearby to encourage people to relax and spend time at the Fair.
Stall Requirements
Food stalls should:
• Be fully self-contained and self-powered
• Hold appropriate food licences
• Provide public liability insurance
• Bring their own setup and service equipment
Site layout and bump-in times will be provided after approval.
Some food stalls may be invited to trade during specific periods of the day to support variety and complement the wider market.
Community Contribution
Bushy Creek Makers’ Fair is a volunteer-led community event. To help cover shared infrastructure such as site coordination, waste management and facilities, food stalls are asked to make a modest financial contribution to the Fair.
This contribution typically falls in the range of $50–$100, depending on stall size and setup.
Sustainability
Bushy Creek Makers’ Fair reflects the environmental values of our region.
Food stalls are encouraged to:
• minimise single-use plastics where feasible
• use compostable or recyclable packaging where possible
• manage and remove operational waste
• support onsite recycling and waste sorting
We are working with Council to provide water refill points to encourage reduced bottled water use.
