Finally - we can announce it

We’re excited to announce that planning has commenced for the Bushy Creek Makers Fair, taking place on 19–20 September 2026 at Geraghty Park, Julatten!

Building on the legacy of the 2024 Festival of Flowers, which brought residents, artisans, growers, and visitors from across the Mareeba Shire together, the Fair is set to celebrate what truly makes a community: connection, creativity, collaboration, and care for one another. With the generous support of a RADF grant, we’re turning our ideas into action and creating a festival that shines a spotlight on local talent while fostering the enduring bonds that tie the Julatten community together.

The Bushy Creek Makers Fair will be a lively, inclusive 2-day festival filled with local food and food trucks, live music, theatre and performances, art exhibitions, creative workshops, artisan markets, a flower show, campfire singalongs, dinner and dance activities, and even camping under the stars.

We’re also looking for passionate people to help make the Fair a success—whether you’re keen to volunteer, showcase your craft, or share your skills, there’s a place for you in bringing this vibrant community celebration to life. Join us at Geraghty Park, Julatten, to explore, connect, and celebrate the creativity and spirit that make our community so special!
